I’ve seen lists of places you can go out to eat on Thanksgiving that are under 35 dollars per person, that are vegan or are simply open on Thanksgiving. What I haven’t seen is options for folks who cannot afford any of the above. With over 15 million “food insecure” Americans and such high unemployment rates around the bay, this list is needed.
I hope this list can be of help to anyone living in the bay area. Please, drop me a message if you know of any other places, regardless of how small or little well known that can be added to this list by sending me a message.
Also, most of these places need volunteers. Consider being part of a local volunteer staff by contacting any of these places near you.

Mimi’s Cafe is a chain of restaurants that I presume are scattered around the U.S. I’ve been to this particular one a few times before and found the food, though small in portion, to be as delicious as I remembered. We ordered our entrees from the “Gourmet Francais” section of the dinner menu; there are also other options, such as pasta and sandwiches.
